Songwriter Retreat, Music Festivals, & More!

Hello from Central Oregon!Hello, Everybodeeeee!

Well Katie Fitz and Arbielle are back from our first (annual?? :D) songwriter retreat! It was a beautiful weekend of fresh, Central Oregon air, one harrowing drive over the mountain, delicious foods, and so so so much music! We recorded 7 new videos! Here’s two: our take on First Aid Kit’s “Emmylou,” (copy/paste this if the hyperlink didn’t work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdQXCUtG3GQ), and a new version of “Wide Desert Sky–“ with Katie on ukulele! (Copy/paste this if the hyperlink didn’t work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7Po17u2cA). Please note that you can find more videos on our youtube channels, Arbielle & Katie Fitz (subscribe to catch ’em all!).

Our heartiest, warmest thanks to the trip sponsors (who would likely want to remain anonymous 🙂 It felt like a wonderful way to gear up for an exciting year of playing shows…

Setting up for a video take

In other news, we are most excited to announce that this year, we are playing at Seattle’s NW Folklife Festival! Our set will be Monday, May 27th, 1:15pm at the K Prom Welcome Stage (305 Harrison St, Seattle WA 98109).

We’d love to see our Seattle friends/family/fans there! We would also love to play another show that weekend in the area! If you have any ideas for venues we should try to book and/or know someone who wants to host us at a house show, please let us know! –> arbiellemusic@gmail.com or (503) 319-0124

It’s extra exciting, because after playing Tumbleweed Music Festival in September, we made it a goal to play more music festivals–they are SO fun! And in addition to the Folklife Festival, we are currently also booked for the following music festivals and/or series this summer (with hopefully more to come)!

~ August 9th, 2024: Ridgefield, WA Musicians in the Park
~ August 10th, 2024: Stevenson, WA Waterfront Stage
~ September 4th, 2024: Ridgefield, WA Musicians in the Park
~ TBA: Music Mondays in Gresham or Troutdale First Friday

Here’s hoping this email finds you well and enjoying the first hints of spring!

Warmly,

Arbielle & Katie Fitz
